Treatment options are determined by the stage and severity of disease. Medications, administered under close medical supervision, are sometimes helpful for mild to moderate disease. Therapeutic intervention is often required for more severe forms of disease. Treatment methods include coronary artery bypass surgery or balloon angioplasty.
